Castle Sporkenburg

The tower castle is located on an approximately rectangular mountain spur above the Emsbach. The spur drops steeply to the west, south and east. In the north there is a trench in front of the castle.
The core castle is 35 meters long and 18 meters wide. It has no keep. On the north side, the castle has a five-story shield wall, reinforced with tourelles, slightly bent, with a height of almost 20 meters. The entrance to the core castle was in the western shield wall. On the south side of the densely built-up core castle was the palas, whose outer walls have been preserved.
