moth in a old swampy arm of the Rhine river

It is a hazy morning and a castle moth can be seen in a swampy part of the Rhine river.
In the time of the Ottonian and Salic ruling houses, from the 10th to the 12th century, the "Niederungsburg Haus Meer" was built in three building phases on the swampy ground of an old arm of the Rhine river. Surrounded by bushland and swamp, it could only be reached via bridges and footbridges. Phase "A" is shown here. A flat settlement with a regular arrangement of six bar buildings in two rows. In phase "C" the flat settlement was raised to a high moth.
