Hostel for the Count of Luxembourg

It´s a rainy, foggy November day in the year of the Lord 1216.
The Count of Luxembourg "Walram of Limburg", stops on the way to the young Friederich the 2nd for a night in Burg Wolfstein before traveling on to the Palatinate Lautern with his servant the next day.
Wolfstein Castle (Alt Wolfstein) was built as the northernmost element of the castle ring around the Palatinate Lautern (Kaiserslautern) from 1160. It was built as a residential tower with this surrounding high cladding wall. On the valley side there is also a residential building and several small farm buildings in an adjoining courtyard.
